Since the days of ancient Israel, worship and praise of God has been accompanied by music. Good Shepherd values its music as sacred offerings to God, no matter what style or instrument is used to declare God's praise.
Various choirs lead us in worship, as well as piano, organ, handbells, and other instruments. Our Music Director, Cody Jones, and our Organist, Susan Sturkie, are both experienced professionals in their fields. Yet, most importantly, they are faithful participants in this Christian community, striving to always use their gifts and leadership to bring glory and praise to God.
Whether you’re a church music beginner or a seasoned veteran, the music ministry at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church has a place for you. The Choirs of Good Shepherd comprise adults and children, each sharing the mission to lead the congregation in the song of Jesus Christ, crucified, risen, and coming again. One of the best ways to make friends as an adult is to join a choir. You see the same people each week. You get to know each other, laugh together, pray together, and sing together.
